Customer Service Representative (Manufacturing)

Location: Manitowoc, Wisconsin, United States. In-office position; no remote work.

Salary: $23.00–$25.00 per hour, with potential for a rate increase after skills proficiency and training.

What you will do

• Process customer orders, changes, cancellations, credits, and returns accurately.
• Handle a high volume of inbound customer calls and emails.
• Provide information about product availability, pricing, lead times, shipment status, and order updates.
• Research and resolve customer inquiries while coordinating with Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Warranty, Technical Service, and Logistics.
• Document customer interactions, maintain accurate records, and escalate complex issues when appropriate.
• Develop product, system, process, and policy knowledge while supporting continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of experience in customer service, order management, inside sales support, or a call center.
• Strong professional phone presence and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to work the first shift, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, in the Manitowoc office.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Manufacturing or B2B customer service experience.
• Experience with ERP, CRM, and order management systems.
