Sr. Specialist, High Voltage Training & Programs

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. Based at the hirify.global corporate headquarters with 4–5 days per week in the office, regular in-person meetings and events, and frequent domestic travel to other Scout locations.

Base salary: $120,000–$160,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Own the development, delivery, documentation, and continuous improvement of EHS training programs across manufacturing, engineering, and support functions.
• Deliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on training covering high-voltage systems, EV batteries, power electronics, electrical safety, LOTO, PPE, hazard communication, emergency response, and contractor safety.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for automotive high-voltage and electrical safety requirements and chair the enterprise High Voltage safety committee.
• Develop HV authorization programs, qualification matrices, refresher training, safe work procedures, and thermal response training.
• Conduct risk assessments, task observations, training effectiveness checks, incident-investigation support, audits, onboarding programs, and EHS campaigns.
• Partner with EHS, Engineering, Production, Commercial Operations, HR, external vendors, partners, regulators, and the parent company to integrate safety requirements into daily operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of EHS experience, preferably in automotive, EV, battery, electrical, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience developing and delivering technical or safety training for adult learners.
• Working knowledge of electrical safety, LOTO, PPE requirements, hazard recognition, OSHA, and applicable EHS standards.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E, electrical risk assessments, the vEFK framework, and EHS or learning management systems.
• Ability to travel frequently within the United States; a valid driver’s license is required.

Nice to have

• Demonstrated experience with automotive high-voltage systems, EV platforms, HV batteries, powertrains, or test systems.
• Safety or technical certifications such as OSHA 30, CSP/GSP, or EV/HV safety credentials.
