Senior Supply Quality Engineer (Clean Energy Manufacturing)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States; willingness to travel 50% to domestic and international suppliers; US citizenship required.

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Lead containment, 8D, and CAPA efforts for non-conformances found during incoming inspection, production, and field use.
• Review supplier-driven changes, deviation requests, ECRs, process changes, and sourcing changes, approving requalification where required.
• Build supplier scorecards for quality, delivery, and responsiveness, and lead supplier business reviews.
• Qualify and develop suppliers of mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical components through on-site audits.
• Own supplier quality from NPI through mass production, including PPAP, control plans, PFMEA, and first article approval.
• Lead Gage R&R/MSA studies, capability analysis, SPC deployment, drawing reviews, and tolerance stack-ups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5–6 years of Supplier Quality Engineer experience covering sustaining operations and quality ownership from NPI through mass production.
• Experience with sheet metal, plastic injection molding, powder-coated metal, wire harnesses, PCBA, and electromechanical assemblies.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and proficiency with JMP for capability, measurement-system, and reliability studies.
• Experience independently owning supplier programs from qualification audits through mass production approval.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification and US citizenship; willingness to travel 50% of the time.
