Compensation and Benefits Analyst

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Salary: $99,220–$149,330 annual base pay, plus performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Support compensation modeling, market pricing, salary range development, offer analysis, and pay decision support.
• Administer and optimize benefits processes, including open enrollment, audits, invoice reconciliation, leave tracking, and compliance documentation.
• Support compensation cycles covering merit, bonuses, equity refreshes, promotions, and off-cycle adjustments.
• Build reports and analyses covering pay trends, internal equity, market competitiveness, and compensation needs.
• Maintain accurate compensation and benefits data through audits, documentation, reporting, and system updates.
• Improve Total Rewards workflows through automation, scalable processes, and thoughtful use of AI-enabled tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of compensation and benefits experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including formulas, modeling, pivot tables, and large datasets.
• Experience with compensation activities such as market pricing, salary ranges, offers, merit, bonuses, equity, or leveling.
• Experience with benefits administration, employee inquiries, open enrollment, vendor coordination, invoice reconciliation, or audits.
• Strong analytical, communication, judgment, confidentiality, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting global benefits and compensation programs.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled tools, compensation survey providers such as Radford, Mercer, or Pave, and Workday or another HRIS.
• Experience with equity compensation, RSU planning, or compensation planning systems.
• Technology or high-growth startup experience.
• CCP, SHRM, or another HR/rewards certification.
