People Operations Manager (AI)

Location: Remote in the United States or United Kingdom

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 annually in the US, or £47,500–£55,000 annually in the UK; equity offered.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end employee lifecycle operations, including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, documentation, and employee support.
• Run payroll, benefits administration, open enrollment, leaves of absence, and related reconciliations across US and international entities.
• Manage the international compliance calendar, EOR relationships, country-specific employment requirements, and operational support for new country openings.
• Maintain HR system data integrity, permissions, workflows, integrations, and audit-ready employee records.
• Consolidate people data into a single global system of record and produce headcount, attrition, organizational, leveling, and compensation reporting.
• Automate manual processes using available tools and AI, while creating documentation, prompts, templates, and walkthroughs for the People team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of people operations experience, ideally in a high-growth software company with fewer than 500 employees.
• Hands-on people operations experience for a multi-country workforce; experience with both the US and UK is required.
• Experience administering payroll, benefits, and a PEO or HRIS platform as the system of record; Justworks experience is strongly preferred.
• Fluency with spreadsheets and HR data, plus hands-on use of AI tools in day-to-day operational work.
• Strong follow-through, judgment with confidential information, and clear, direct written communication.
• Experience with international employment mechanics, EOR models, statutory entitlements, and country-level filing obligations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Canada, the EU, or APAC employee populations.
• Exposure to total rewards, compensation cycle administration, or benefits renewals.
• Experience with HRIS migration or consolidation.
• Familiarity with Deel, Culture Amp, Carta, or Ashby.
