Complex Injury Assistant Lawyer (Catastrophic Injury)

Location: Manchester or Bolton, United Kingdom; hybrid working with one day per week in the office

What you will do

• Assist with complex injury and catastrophic injury claims valued up to £1.5 million.
• Analyse liability, causation, quantum, medical records, and expert evidence to support case strategy.
• Draft witness statements, pleadings, applications, and technical legal advice.
• Liaise with insurers, insured parties, witnesses, experts, counsel, and clients.
• Attend conferences, mediations, joint settlement meetings, and court hearings.
• Support client service standards and the supervision and development of junior team members where appropriate.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, CILEx professional, or candidate with equivalent relevant legal experience.
• Experience handling defendant or claimant personal injury litigation.
• Experience with indemnity, liability, and quantum issues.
• Strong ability to analyse evidence and complex legal and medical issues.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and clients.
• Ability to work from Manchester or Bolton with one office day per week.

• Previous experience handling catastrophic injury claims.
• Experience supervising or developing junior team members.
