Fund Accounting Manager - Private Markets

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada; hybrid

Salary: CAD 90,000–CAD 132,000 per year

What you will do

• Deliver fund accounting and administration services for private equity fund clients, including NAV preparation and review, custody servicing, investor record keeping, and reporting.
• Manage and train Fund Accountants while allocating resources and ensuring service-level agreements are met.
• Review and approve fee schedules, management and carried-interest calculations, investor allocations, waterfall calculations, capital calls, distributions, and fund expenses.
• Coordinate with banks, auditors, brokers, custodians, administrators, and internal AML teams to ensure accurate and timely service delivery.
• Review financial statements, annual audit materials, regulatory reporting, schedules, and client files for compliance with organizational controls.
• Establish client-specific procedures, improve NAV and reporting processes, and participate in system initiatives and projects.

Requirements

• University degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Significant fund administration experience, including experience managing staff.
• In-depth understanding of the fund industry.
• Strong Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel skills, with openness to new technologies.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and Singapore GAAP.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Toronto, Canada.

Nice to have

• Qualified accountant or other relevant professional qualification.
• Knowledge of private credit or loan products.
• Experience with Geneva, Investran, Yardi, or Bloomberg.
