Construction Manager (Industrial Construction)

Location: Inwood, West Virginia, United States; onsite work with daily construction-site walks and regional travel in the Midwest.

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and manage self-perform construction projects for chemical and manufacturing plants from proposal through close-out.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, work packages, estimates, material takeoffs, and client proposal packages.
• Review designs and contract documents for constructability, completeness, compliance, and client requirements.
• Coordinate clients, engineers, field staff, direct-hire craft workers, subcontractors, procurement, and vendors.
• Manage subcontractor proposals, buyout, negotiations, site visits, delivery orders, RFIs, submittals, changes, and project close-out documentation.
• Ensure compliance with HSEQ procedures and local and site-specific requirements, including OSHA standards.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in industrial construction.
• Experience with piping, sanitary tubing, tanks, conveyors, equipment foundations, and equipment or systems installation.
• Strong knowledge of construction and engineering means and methods, detailed estimating, scheduling, and project controls.
• Ability to adapt to frequent changes, collaborate with diverse teams, communicate clearly, and mentor assistant-level operations staff.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Lean Construction Principles, and other construction systems.
• A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is highly desired.
