Design Specialist-Stamford Canal St 711 (Interior Design)

Location: Stamford, Connecticut, United States; store-based role with in-home consultations and off-site trade meetings as needed.

What you will do

• Deliver personalized design consultations and recommend furnishings that meet client needs.
• Build relationships with clients, trade professionals, and the local design community.
• Meet revenue, conversion, retention, and other sales performance targets.
• Guide clients through product selection, space planning, and styling.
• Manage the client lifecycle using CRM tools and outreach strategies.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and complete in-home or off-site consultations as needed.

Requirements

• Experience in retail sales, design consulting, or customer success is preferred.
• Background in interior design, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• Skills in client needs assessment, problem-solving, relationship building, and consultative selling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and design tools such as SketchUp or AutoCAD.
• Ability to lift more than 40 pounds and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Weekend and holiday availability is required.
