Quality Manufacturing Inspector (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY, with a 3rd shift work schedule in East Aurora, NY

Salary: $27.00–$35.00 per hour, plus a 10% third-shift differential

What you will do

• Provide CMM inspection support for fabricated and machined parts across manufacturing departments.
• Run CMM inspection programs and perform manual inspections of simple to complex parts, components, and assemblies.
• Perform precision inspection using surface plates, height gauges, gauge blocks, indicators, and other gauging equipment.
• Interpret complex drawings, operation sheets, verbal instructions, engineering specifications, and military specifications.
• Inspect complex parts with multiple features and support machinists with inspection equipment and quality activities.
• Perform daily machine maintenance, calibration, and probe qualifications.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a quality or manufacturing setting, including at least 1 year operating a CMM; Zeiss experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in GD&T and drawing interpretation.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, or the ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer-based instructions in English.
• Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to work onsite on the third shift in East Aurora, NY.
• This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
