Quality/Receiving Inspector (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; full-time onsite position at the Long Beach facility

What you will do

• Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of mechanical, structural, electrical, and manufactured hardware.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, borescopes, torque tools, and other precision inspection equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and inspection plans to determine acceptance criteria.
• Document inspection results, maintain traceability records, and identify and communicate nonconformances.
• Support production, integration, First Article Inspections, Material Review Board activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain calibrated inspection equipment and train inspectors and technicians on inspection methods and workmanship standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 5+ years of quality inspection experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, manufacturing, or another high-reliability production environment.
• Experience with dimensional and visual inspection of manufactured or assembled hardware and precision measurement equipment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation and accurately record inspection results.
• Must be able to pass a background check and access government facilities as required.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person or be eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export control requirements.

Nice to have

• Aerospace or high-reliability flight hardware inspection experience.
• Knowledge of GD&T, AS9100, AS9102, FAI, inspection plans, workmanship standards, and configuration-controlled manufacturing.
• Experience with machined components, welded assemblies, structures, tube assemblies, electrical or avionics hardware, and mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with CMMs, portable measurement arms, laser trackers, optical measurement systems, or similar metrology equipment.
