Night Shift Compounding Pharmacist

Location: Louisville, Kentucky, United States; onsite pharmacy work

Salary: up to $71.25 per hour

What you will do

• Receive and process customer and veterinarian prescription orders.
• Review prescription appropriateness, verify processed orders, and provide pharmacist consultation.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate compounding personnel.
• Perform and document compounding procedures, quality assurance checks, and release of compounded preparations.
• Calibrate, maintain, and operate compounding equipment while monitoring the preparation environment.
• Follow USP, safety, PPE, hazardous-chemical, and internal operating procedures.

Requirements

• BS or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Current Kentucky pharmacist license in good standing, plus any other required state licenses and credentials.
• Strong mathematical, problem-solving, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to complete respirator fit testing and wear required compounding safety equipment.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and work for prolonged periods while sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, or walking.
• Ability to work with delicate machinery and handle tools, controls, and prescription-compounding materials.

Nice to have

• Compounding or laboratory experience.
• Willingness to complete external training as needed.
