Staff Product Manager (Fintech)

Location: Must be based in Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, or Kitchener-Waterloo, Canada; requires attending the office at least 1 day per week according to the department schedule.

Salary: CAD 169,200–228,900 annually, with a midpoint of CAD 199,100.

What you will do

• Discover, validate, and launch new financial products across insurance, consumer financing, spending, money management, cards, and business banking.
• Frame customer problems, size opportunities, run experiments and pilots, and make evidence-based go/no-go recommendations.
• Lead build-vs-buy-vs-partner decisions involving embedded finance, banking-as-a-service, insurance, and lending providers.
• Define MVPs, sequence roadmaps, and scale initial products based on customer, market, adoption, unit economics, and risk signals.
• Partner with Design, Engineering, Data, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and GTM to navigate regulatory and operational requirements.
• Raise product standards across the fintech group and shape how emerging opportunities and trade-offs are evaluated.

Requirements

• Extensive product management experience taking products from concept to launch, ideally including a financial product with meaningful revenue accountability.
• Staff- or principal-level experience defining strategy in ambiguous domains, influencing without authority, and shaping organizational product direction.
• Deep familiarity with fintech products such as card issuing, spend management, business banking, insurance, or lending.
• Understanding of partner, risk, compliance, and regulatory ecosystems supporting financial products.
• Strong product sense, commercial rigor, unit economics judgment, and the ability to connect customer insight with business strategy.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and able to meet the specified hub-city and office-attendance requirement.

Nice to have

• Experience launching embedded fintech products in a vertical SaaS or platform business.
• Experience with banking-as-a-service or embedded finance providers, card networks, sponsor banks, insurance carriers or MGAs, or consumer lending partners.
• Experience serving small businesses, especially in home and field services.
