Head of Product (Personal Banking, Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, CA; New York, NY; Portland, OR; or remote within Canada or the United States.

Salary: US employees: $289,700–$362,100 USD base salary; Canadian employees: $273,800–$342,200 CAD base salary. Total rewards also include equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Set the product strategy, metrics, and customer propositions for personal money management, banking, savings, investments, money movement, and future lending.
• Build a high-quality personal banking experience focused on clarity, usability, performance, and customer trust.
• Drive acquisition, activation, retention, engagement, and connections between personal banking and Mercury’s existing business products.
• Lead the use of AI where it meaningfully improves the customer experience.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing product management organization.
• Align product, engineering, design, data, risk, compliance, legal, marketing, support, and external partners around one strategy.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience building consumer products, including ownership of growth and product economics.
• 5+ years leading product managers through hiring, coaching, organization design, and performance management.
• Experience launching and scaling 0-to-1 products and operating products with large customer bases.
• Experience shipping AI-led products to real consumers.
• Strong cross-functional leadership across engineering, design, data, risk, compliance, and partners.
• Sound judgment in regulated environments, balancing customer experience with required banking controls.
