2027 R&D LCM Co-Op (MedTech)

Location: Raritan, New Jersey, United States; hybrid work arrangement

Salary: $23.50–$52.50 per hour

Johnson & Johnson MedTech develops medical devices and technologies for surgical and minimally invasive procedures, including wound closure and healing products.

What you will do

• Perform hands-on work in chemistry or engineering laboratories.
• Develop studies, test methods, fixtures, prototypes, models, and technical drawings.
• Support product lifecycle management, including design control, verification and validation, change control, specifications, and regulatory requests.
• Prepare test protocols, final reports, meeting minutes, and other documentation.
• Generate, analyze, and statistically evaluate data using Minitab.
• Collaborate with engineers, external suppliers, and voice-of-customer laboratories.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an accredited college or university during the co-op session and have completed at least the freshman year.
• Pursue a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, biology, biochemistry, materials science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
• Be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, during the co-op session.
• Demonstrate strong organization, communication, independent work, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
• Have proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, OneNote, and Microsoft Teams; SolidWorks and Minitab experience is required for some roles.
• Have permanent authorization to work in the United States without requiring current or future employment visa sponsorship.
