Co-op, Manufacturing Graduate (Medical Devices) (Manufacturing Automation): Supporting high-speed automated medical-device manufacturing through root cause analysis, equipment validation, process improvement, and scrap reduction with an accent on hands-on testing, metrology, data analysis, and manufacturing equipment. Focus on debugging automated production equipment, designing manufacturing aids, executing IQ/TMV/OQ/PQ validation activities, and solving urgent cross-functional manufacturing problems.

Location: Onsite in Acton, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $34.00–$38.50 annual base salary; incentive compensation may also be available.

hirify.global is a medical device company developing the Omnipod insulin management platform and other wearable drug-delivery technologies.

What you will do

  • Study laser welding, heat staking, automated assembly, and other in-house production equipment to drive process improvements.
  • Support failure root cause analysis, equipment validation, process improvement, scrap reduction, and production-line performance tracking.
  • Generate tool files, write setup and operating procedures, prepare equipment for validation, and support IQ/TMV/OQ/PQ activities.
  • Perform hands-on lab testing, measurement, data analysis, protocol execution, and technical report writing.
  • Support machine build and debugging at local automation suppliers.
  • Design and prototype manufacturing aids using SolidWorks and 3D printing, and prepare engineering and supplier change requests.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a master's or PhD program in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, bioengineering, or a related field.
  • Interest or experience in manufacturing automation, laboratory testing, and metrology.
  • Experience with or knowledge of CAD; SolidWorks is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data and present clear, actionable information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Minitab, JMP, or Excel is relevant.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-based visa sponsorship.
