Co-op, R&D Manufacturing (Medical Devices)

Location: Onsite in Acton, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $25.00–$34.00 annual base salary, with possible incentive compensation.

hirify.global is a medical device company developing the Omnipod insulin management platform and other wearable drug-delivery technologies for people with diabetes and other conditions.

What you will do

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize manual and semi-automated assembly equipment for early-stage builds.
• Study laser welding, heat staking, and automated assembly equipment to drive manufacturing process improvements.
• Generate tool files, write setup and operating procedures, and prepare equipment for validation.
• Support IQ, TMV, OQ, and PQ validation activities through protocol execution and reporting.
• Design and prototype manufacturing aids using SolidWorks and 3D printing.
• Analyze production-line efficiency, scrap, and downtime while supporting inventory control and build kitting.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience or interest in manufacturing automation, laboratory testing, and metrology.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and present clear, actionable information.
• Preferred experience with SolidWorks; Pro/Engineer (Creo) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Minitab, JMP, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-based visa sponsorship.
