Co-op, Supplier Engineering - Global Technical Excellence (Medical Devices)

Location: Onsite in Acton, Massachusetts, United States; up to 5% travel to local suppliers.

Salary: $25.00–$34.00 annual base salary range for U.S.-based positions.

hirify.global is a medical device company developing the Omnipod insulin management platform and other drug-delivery technologies.

What you will do

• Investigate manufacturing issues through root cause analysis using lab equipment such as Instron systems, pressure transducers, optical measurement equipment, and high-speed cameras.
• Design test procedures, 3D-printed fixtures, custom tests, and data analyses for tool qualification and product design improvements.
• Lead at least one root-cause investigation or process improvement initiative.
• Automate and standardize internal workflows and data-analysis processes using applicable software skills such as VBA.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing concepts and assist with engineering change orders.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, process, mechanical, electrical, design, and supplier engineering teams.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in electrical, industrial, or biomedical engineering.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Mechanical aptitude, hands-on approach, strong documentation skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform lab testing and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must already have authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer-based visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with PCBA or battery design and manufacturing.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis.
• Experience with CAD software.
