Location: St. Petersburg, Florida, or another location listed in the posting; the final reporting location is determined at offer. Must live within a reasonable commute of the reporting location, no more than 50 miles one way. Hybrid field role with frequent travel to construction sites, field reviews, customer interactions, occasional onsite meetings, after-hours events, and on-call availability.

Utility company providing energy services and customer delivery projects, including substation optimization and undergrounding initiatives.
What you will do
- Develop and execute project-specific public engagement strategies for customer delivery projects.
- Prepare, coordinate, and distribute letters, presentations, and other communications to property owners and stakeholders.
- Manage project-related inquiries, document stakeholder concerns, and coordinate responses.
- Keep internal stakeholders informed and collaborate with Communications, Legal, Engineering, leadership, and Government & Community Relations.
- Participate in project meetings, field reviews, pre-construction meetings, customer interactions, and construction-site visits.
- Lead public information meetings and oversee external communication distribution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of relevant experience, or high school/GED and seven years of related experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong presentation, written, verbal, organizational, planning, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing external stakeholders, escalated situations, customer-facing interactions, and cross-functional teams.
- Availability for 25–50% travel, after-hours events, and on-call service.
- Must be able to work lawfully in the United States without employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice to have
- Experience in customer delivery, distribution operations, or the utility industry.
- Knowledge of project management principles and experience with event, project, and budget planning.
- Experience working with community organizations, vendors, service providers, and senior leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience in community involvement.
