Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite work involving rocket manufacturing, overhead cranes or forklifts, confined spaces, and elevated heights.
Salary: $40.40–$60.60 USD per hour

What you will do
- Develop, qualify, and execute manual and semi-automated GTAW and GMAW weld processes for Terran R flight hardware.
- Bring welding equipment online, perform weld operations, and complete manual weld repairs on development and flight hardware.
- Load and unload hardware with overhead cranes or forklifts and install structural components and tooling.
- Perform dimensional fitment and visual weld inspections using micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches, and other precision tools.
- Prepare metallic surfaces for welding and non-destructive evaluation through precision blending.
- Identify material defects, equipment malfunctions, and production inefficiencies while maintaining manufacturing standards.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in aerospace welding, weld operations, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience with GTAW or laser welding of aluminum, stainless steel, or Inconel.
- Experience with metallic component fabrication, including layout, forming, assembly, weld fit-up, weld preparation, repairs, post-weld blending, and dimensional inspection.
- Ability to work onsite in Long Beach, California, operate in confined spaces, work at elevated heights, and lift 25 lbs.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced development and production environments.
Nice to have
- Experience with robotic or semi-automated welding systems.
- Knowledge of aerospace welding standards such as AWS D17.1.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing for blueprint interpretation and inspections.
