Pharmacist, Clinical Services (Oncology)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid work with 2–3 days onsite per week

Salary: $124,000–$159,800 per year

What you will do

• Provide clinical pharmacy services and comprehensive patient care for oncology outpatients.
• Counsel patients and caregivers starting intravenous or oral antineoplastic therapy and support adherence and toxicity monitoring.
• Review medication orders and chemotherapy prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and completeness.
• Provide evidence-based recommendations on treatment plans, supportive care, dose adjustments, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other professionals through rounds, huddles, and case conferences.
• Document clinical care in the EHR and contribute to research, education, quality improvement, formulary, pathway, and policy initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• PGY2 residency in the specialty, or PGY1 residency plus two years of clinical specialist experience, or five years of clinical specialist experience.
• Relevant experience may include oncology, palliative care, or anticoagulation.
• Active license to practice pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• Board certification in the specialty area must be obtained within 18 months of employment.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
