Associate Medical Director - Oncology (West Coast)

Location: Remote in the United States; approximately 50% field-based with more than 50% travel within the assigned hirify.global geography

Salary: $180,000–$270,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Execute 8–12 physician-level field engagements per quarter and conduct regular field ride days with MSL counterparts.
• Support provider engagement activities, regional educational programs, scientific presentations, and speaker training.
• Document scientific exchanges, objection-handling themes, and medical inquiries in Salesforce.
• Generate regional insights, contribute to quarterly reports, and coordinate resolution of account issues across functions.
• Identify field-driven evidence-generation opportunities and support AMD-led clinical trial concept development.
• Attend in-person customer meetings, educational programs, and internal meetings across the assigned region.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. with board certification or active board eligibility in medical oncology, hematology/oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, or a directly related specialty.
• 2–5 years of clinical practice or medical affairs experience after training; equivalent field experience may be accepted.
• Clinical knowledge of one or more tumor histologies and foundational knowledge of molecular diagnostic testing in oncology.
• Ability to interpret and communicate clinical data and engage physician audiences professionally.
• Working proficiency with Salesforce or an equivalent CRM and reliable high-speed internet for remote work.
• Willingness to travel more than 50% within the assigned geography and attend in-person field activities is required.

Nice to have

• Medical affairs, MSL, or field-based clinical experience in oncology diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology.
• Familiarity with cfDNA testing, MRD assays, or molecular residual disease concepts.
• Experience presenting at scientific or clinical educational forums.
