Senior Functional Analyst (Healthcare)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Washington will not be considered. U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $78,167–$103,855 per year

What you will do

• Lead the capture, analysis, documentation, validation, and change control of business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements.
• Manage epics, sub-epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, backlogs, testing, defects, and traceability in JIRA.
• Conduct user interviews, facilitate requirements and backlog refinement sessions, and develop process models and formal specifications.
• Coordinate with customers, product and business owners, systems engineers, software teams, stakeholders, and contractors.
• Track project risks, impediments, metrics, scope, configuration items, and delivery status across the Agile product lifecycle using SAFe.
• Serve as a product functional SME, support Sprint teams, and lead and mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance are required.
• Ten years of professional experience; a master’s degree in engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline is required.
• Strong software development background and experience with Agile and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies.
• Expertise with JIRA and advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.
• Excellent analytical, research, problem-solving, customer service, oral, and written communication skills.
• Experience with large Agile software development or data integration projects.

Nice to have

• Federal Health Agency or Veterans Affairs experience, including VA SQA testing.
• Working knowledge of the Veterans Independence Program (VIP).
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
• Healthcare billing and claims processing application knowledge.
