Senior Functional Analyst (Healthcare)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Washington will not be considered.

Salary: $78,167–$103,855 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the capture, analysis, documentation, validation, and change control of business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements.
• Manage epics, sub-epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, backlogs, requirements, tests, defects, risks, and impediments in JIRA.
• Conduct user interviews, facilitate requirements and backlog refinement sessions, and develop process models and formal specifications.
• Coordinate with business users, product and business owners, systems engineers, developers, stakeholders, and contractors.
• Track requirements traceability, integration, project artifacts, delivery metrics, risks, issues, and product execution status using SAFe.
• Serve as a product functional SME, mentor junior analysts, support sprint teams, and remove impediments to sprint completion.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance and pass the required government and background investigations.
• Ten years of professional experience; a Master’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline is required.
• Strong software development, Agile, Scrum, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience, including work on large Agile software development or data integration projects.
• Expertise with JIRA and advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.
• Excellent communication, analytical, research, problem-solving, customer service, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of the VA Veterans Independence Program, VA SQA testing, or healthcare billing and claims-processing applications.
• Experience with a Federal Health Agency such as VA, DHA, or HHS.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
