Senior Functional Analyst

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, or Washington will not be considered. The opportunity is listed in Orlando, Florida.

Salary: $78,167–$103,855 per year

What you will do

• Lead the capture, analysis, documentation, validation, and change control of business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements.
• Manage epics, sub-epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, backlogs, defects, and traceability in JIRA and other ALM tools.
• Conduct user interviews, facilitate requirements and backlog refinement sessions, and develop process models and formal specifications.
• Coordinate with customers, product and business owners, systems engineers, software teams, stakeholders, and contractors.
• Track project risks, issues, metrics, configuration items, requirements, test cases, and Agile product delivery status.
• Serve as a product functional SME, support Sprint teams, remove impediments, and mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required for this opportunity.
• Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance and undergo a government security investigation.
• Ten years of professional experience, with a master's degree in engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline; additional experience may substitute for education.
• Strong software development background and experience with Agile and Scaled Agile Framework methodologies.
• Expertise with JIRA, advanced Microsoft Office including Excel, requirements management, analytical work, and large Agile software development or data integration projects.
• Excellent written and oral communication, customer service, problem-solving, research, and information-integration skills.

Nice to have

• Veterans Affairs experience, including the Veterans Independence Program, VA SQA testing, or work with a federal health agency.
• Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certification.
• Healthcare billing, claims processing, or related application knowledge.
