Senior Functional Analyst (JIRA/Agile)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Washington will not be considered.

Salary: $78,167–$103,855 per year

What you will do

• Lead the capture, analysis, documentation, validation, and change control of business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements.
• Manage epics, sub-epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, backlogs, defects, and traceability in JIRA and other ALM processes.
• Conduct user interviews, facilitate refinement and requirements sessions, and develop process models, specifications, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with customers, product owners, business stakeholders, systems engineers, developers, testers, and contractors.
• Track risks, issues, impediments, dependencies, project artifacts, and Agile product execution metrics using SAFe.
• Serve as a product functional subject matter expert and mentor junior analysts while supporting Sprint delivery.

Requirements

• 10 years of professional experience; a master’s degree in engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline is required, with additional experience potentially substituting for education.
• Strong background in software development and Agile or Scaled Agile Framework methodologies.
• Expertise with JIRA and advanced experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Excellent analytical, research, problem-solving, written, and oral communication skills.
• Experience with large Agile software development or data integration projects.
• U.S. citizenship is required; must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance and complete the required government investigation.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of the VA Veterans Independence Program and VA SQA testing.
• Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certification.
• Experience with federal health agencies, healthcare billing and claims processing applications, or Agile environments.
