Network Operations Service Analyst (Telecom)

Location: Newton Office, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $30.43–$42.60 per hour

What you will do

• Coordinate daily operational activities with telecom carriers, vendors, circuit aggregators, TEM providers, and RingCentral.
• Track ServiceNow and vendor tickets, action items, commitments, SLA reports, escalations, and follow-up activities.
• Support MACD requests, circuit installations and upgrades, acquisitions, divestitures, and 4G/5G SIM provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Track RingCentral UCaaS requests, including extensions, auto attendants, call queues, AI Receptionist items, usage reporting, and feature research.
• Validate telecom invoices, payments, credits, adjustments, billing reports, and inventory data; identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain operational records and create runbooks, process guides, reports, dashboards, and vendor meeting materials.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in IT, telecommunications, network operations, technical support, vendor coordination, or a related field; equivalent internship, academic, military, or related experience is welcome.
• Strong organization, documentation, follow-up, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Basic experience preparing reports, validating data, maintaining records, or coordinating meetings and action items.
• Familiarity with networking and telecommunications concepts such as Internet circuits, broadband, SD-WAN, and 4G/5G connectivity.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and standard reporting or documentation tools.
• Ability to work from the Newton office and support meetings, billing validation, vendor coordination, and operational tracking.

Nice to have

• Exposure to ServiceNow, carrier or vendor portals, circuit inventories, or TEM platforms.
• Interest in RingCentral or another UCaaS platform.
• CCNA, CompTIA Network+, related coursework, or certifications.
• Experience in a multi-site retail, distributed enterprise, or vendor-supported environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Telecommunications, Business, or a related field.
