Network Engineer II

Location: Remote within the United States; regular and occasional travel to practice sites is required. Candidates in the South Florida area are strongly preferred.

What you will do

• Own network architecture and standards across enterprise switching, routing, wireless, perimeter firewalls, and voice/telephony systems.
• Lead design reviews and new network implementations for practice locations.
• Serve as the Tier 3 escalation authority for major network incidents and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Evaluate network tools and vendors, manage ISP and telecom relationships, and represent networking in security, audit, and compliance work.
• Mentor network engineers and administrators while partnering with project and systems engineering teams on integrated solutions and handoffs.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of progressive network engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong experience across switching, routing, wireless, and firewalls, with sound judgment across cost, complexity, and security.
• Experience with voice and telephony platforms such as VoIP, SIP trunking, UCaaS, or contact center solutions.
• Excellent technical writing, design communication, vendor management, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Aruba switching and wireless, Palo Alto firewalls, Fortinet, Auvik, or ServiceNow.
• Healthcare or Managed Service Provider experience.
• Senior-level or expert certifications such as Aruba ACMA/ACMX, Palo Alto PCNSE, or Cisco CCNP.
