TL;DR
Planner I (Aerospace): Planning and controlling materials, inventory, manufacturing orders, and procurement activities for aerospace and defense production with an accent on ERP/MRP data accuracy, production scheduling, and supply continuity. Focus on reviewing manufacturing bills of materials, resolving material shortages and scheduling issues, and coordinating cross-functional supply chain execution.

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; office or hybrid environment

Salary: $59,000–$77,541.82 per year

What you will do

  • Review manufacturing bills of materials and maintain revision control in the ERP system.
  • Create and process sales orders, manufacturing orders, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders.
  • Allocate materials and monitor inventory to support production and delivery schedules.
  • Identify material shortages, scheduling delays, and other supply chain issues, supporting their resolution.
  • Maintain supply chain schedules and use MRP systems to plan inventory, production, and procurement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute manufacturing and supply chain schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, logistics, or a related field, or at least four years of relevant experience in place of a degree.
  • 0–2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Basic understanding of ERP/MRP systems, master production planning, supply chain management, and logistics.
  • Exposure to engineering change processes and familiarity with manufacturing drawings.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for employment because an active U.S. Security Clearance is required.

Nice to have

  • Internship or co-op experience in aerospace, defense, or a related industry.
  • APICS certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with program management and MRP/ERP systems.
  • Technical or engineering degree.
  • Experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, aerospace and defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
