Procurement Specialist III (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid position supporting the Huntsville, Alabama location, with onsite meetings; remote working options available.

What you will do

• Develop and manage advanced material requirements plans for complex production schedules and contract deliverables.
• Analyze demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory trends to maintain material availability and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Production, and Program Management to resolve shortages and support uninterrupted operations.
• Lead cross-functional efforts, provide guidance to junior planners and procurement teams, and manage the daily activities of direct reports.
• Optimize inventory levels, reduce excess and obsolete inventory, and minimize waste.
• Improve material planning processes by using data analytics, MRP capabilities, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in material planning, supply chain management, or production planning, preferably in the defense or aerospace industry.
• Extensive experience with MRP/ERP systems such as Deltek Costpoint, SAP, or Oracle.
• Advanced knowledge of material planning, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.
• Strong leadership, analytical, decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• US Citizenship required.
