Press Team Lead (Manufacturing)

Location: Solon, Ohio, United States; onsite first-shift production role

What you will do

• Lead uninterrupted production flow in assigned press and production areas and provide backup support to the Supervisor.
• Guide, develop, train, and onboard production employees while serving as the primary point of contact for the assigned team.
• Operate and set up equipment when needed, coordinate material and information movement, and adjust staffing during changing production conditions.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and ensure accurate productivity reports, department metrics, and required paperwork.
• Support Lean activities including MDI, 5S, housekeeping, waste elimination, and Kaizen.
• Promote safe work practices, report hazards and incidents, participate in safety inspections, and serve on the Safety Committee.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• 3–5 years of production and/or warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge of assigned production or warehouse operations, safety policies, and compliance processes.
• Computer experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to train operators, monitor performance and attendance, work standing for extended periods, climb stairs and ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
