Systems Engineer (Industrial Automation)

What you will do

• Engineer and implement real-time automation controls and industrial information solutions.
• Conceptualize systems during project design and develop programming, configuration, and system designs.
• Program, debug, test, and commission solutions at client sites.
• Create engineering notes, proposals, design traceability documentation, and case studies.
• Develop methodologies, solve complex technical problems, and identify process improvements.
• Learn new technologies and mentor colleagues in areas of expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering Technology, completed or nearing completion.
• 5–7 years of experience with relevant automation and systems technologies.
• Strong analytical, communication, self-management, and learning skills.
• Valid driver’s license and full-time access to a personal vehicle.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% within the USA.

Nice to have

• Experience in food and beverage or life sciences industries.
• Experience with DeviceNet, ControlNet, DH+, Remote I/O, Modbus, Python, PI Historian, and databases.
