Automation and Controls Engineer (Manufacturing)

Salary: $130,000–$180,000 annually

hirify.global is developing and operating uranium enrichment services in the United States to restore domestic nuclear fuel production.

What you will do

• Design, build, and commission automation test stands and assembly-process equipment.
• Integrate and program PLCs, HMIs, motion-control systems, and industrial robots, including FANUC, ABB, KUKA, or similar platforms.
• Automate material-loading robots, feed lines, and assembly stations for the manufacturing floor.
• Translate manufacturing requirements into reliable, repeatable automated workflows.
• Troubleshoot and improve automated equipment to increase uptime, throughput, safety, and repeatability.
• Create equipment documentation, control logic, and standard operating procedures, and coordinate equipment deployment with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in automation, controls, or manufacturing engineering; relevant internship or co-op experience may be considered.
• Hands-on experience programming and integrating PLCs, HMIs, and industrial robots.
• Experience designing, building, or commissioning automated equipment such as test stands, feed lines, or assembly stations.
• Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and motion-control systems, with troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, or a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required for export-controlled and national-security-systems work.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotic integration and automation for high-mix or high-volume manufacturing.
• Familiarity with SCADA, industrial networking, machine vision, and industrial safety systems.
• Experience in energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, nuclear, or other highly regulated industries.
• Familiarity with NIST, NRC, ATO/cATO, human-in-the-loop simulation, or virtual commissioning.
