Senior SCADA Engineer (Industrial Automation)

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, configuration, testing, deployment, and commissioning of SCADA systems, including HMI, RTU, PLC, and communication protocols.
• Optimize system performance, troubleshoot hardware, software, and communication issues, and perform root cause analysis to minimize downtime.
• Develop system architectures, configuration files, standard operating procedures, technical specifications, and training materials.
• Lead SCADA upgrades, integrations, and expansions in collaboration with engineering, operations, IT, and cybersecurity teams.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive improvements in reliability, scalability, and user experience.
• Provide technical support to operations and mentor junior SCADA engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining SCADA systems in industrial environments.
• Hands-on experience with SCADA platforms such as Ignition, Wonderware, Intouch, Citect, or WinCC, as well as RTUs, PLCs, sensors, and communication modules.
• Mandatory experience with SCADA cybersecurity standards including IEC 62443 and NERC CIP.
• Experience with Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850, Ethernet/IP, and Profinet industrial communication protocols.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
