UltraCare Liaison (Rare Disease)

Location: Germany - Remote; field-based role with in-person and remote interactions across the assigned territory

What you will do

• Provide disease awareness, disease-state, patient-referral, and treatment education to physicians, pharmacists, nurses, dietitians, and payers.
• Conduct scientific exchange on approved and non-approved medicines, diagnostic evidence, market access, and supply-chain topics within compliant boundaries.
• Organize local educational events and roundtables and facilitate peer-to-peer exchange among healthcare professionals.
• Assess hospitals’ ability to administer gene therapies, accept referrals, and meet G-BA criteria.
• Facilitate access to center qualification initiatives and develop referral and care infrastructure.
• Co-create and regularly update account plans for major hospitals and centers of care in collaboration with Medical Affairs.

Requirements

• University education as a physician, pharmacist, registered nurse, or scientist in a relevant scientific field.
• Fluent written and spoken German and English are mandatory.
• At least seven years of pharmaceutical industry experience, including five years in field-based functions.
• Imperative experience with orphan drugs or highly specialized secondary-care areas; launch experience is required.
• In-depth understanding of the German healthcare system, including sick funds, KVs, MDK, IQWiG, GKV-SV, and G-BA.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, industry codes of conduct, GCP, and GDP standards, with an impeccable business integrity record.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of at least three medical specialties.
• At least three years of KOL interaction experience.
• Experience developing local patient referral and care infrastructure.
