What you will do

  • Deliver branded and unbranded education on diseases, inheritance, and products to patients and families across the rare disease portfolio.
  • Assess individual educational needs and create personalized action plans addressing patient barriers and concerns.
  • Facilitate individual, family, group, patient-organization, and community education programs at regional and national levels.
  • Provide disease and product in-services for healthcare professionals in home and outpatient infusion settings.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Medical, Marketing, Case Management, and Strategic Account Management partners on patient support and account strategies.
  • Use patient insights and data to prioritize initiatives, meet KPIs, maintain CRM records, and improve compliant patient-support processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or life sciences, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of clinical experience in a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, mediation, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working successfully in a complex matrix environment.
  • Strong flexibility, persistence, creativity, empathy, trust, business acumen, and strategic-thinking skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively, 50%–75%; US and Puerto Rico residency required.

Nice to have

  • Genetic counseling certification or nursing registration.
  • Master of Science or another advanced medical or scientific degree.
  • Biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Experience in genetics, neurology/neuromuscular, renal, or hematology/oncology specialties.
  • Spanish language skills.
