Senior Civil/Roadway Project Manager (Transportation)

What you will do

• Manage transportation improvement projects and provide professional design services for municipal agencies, local governments, and NCDOT.
• Lead roadway and bridge design activities covering geometry, drainage, work zone traffic control, pavement markings, and signing.
• Coordinate design development, technical direction, multidisciplinary collaboration, schedules, budgets, scopes, fees, staffing, risks, subagreements, quality control records, submittals, and invoices.
• Prepare or support specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
• Lead internal and client project meetings and build working relationships with client technical staff and project managers.
• Mentor civil design staff and contribute to business development and industry participation.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in roadway or bridge design and related technical work.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• North Carolina Professional Engineer license required.
• Project management and design experience with intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, widenings, and bicycle/pedestrian facilities.
• Experience with NCDOT and other North Carolina municipalities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client and multidisciplinary interaction.

Nice to have

• Experience with MicroStation and GeoPak.
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer.
