Location: St. Paul, Minnesota, United States. Bridge projects are primarily located in Minnesota, with opportunities to support projects in other states. Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future. Employees cannot currently reside in Alaska, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Puerto Rico.
Base compensation: $140,000–$175,000 per year, based on skills and experience.

What you will do
- Lead state and local bridge engineering projects, managing scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, client communication, and delivery.
- Deliver projects ranging from grade separations to highway interchanges and river crossings.
- Oversee bridge structures including prestressed concrete, cast-in-place concrete, steel girder, curved steel girder, and truss bridges.
- Provide project oversight and quality control for engineering deliverables.
- Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Support business development, proposals, client outreach, project pursuits, and structures group initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Professional Engineer license in Minnesota required.
- Demonstrated experience managing bridge engineering projects, including scope, budgeting, scheduling, resource coordination, and client communication.
- Experience delivering bridge projects for state DOTs, counties, municipalities, or other public-sector transportation clients.
- Experience developing proposals, negotiating scope and fees, and securing bridge engineering work.
- Familiarity with AASHTO codes, design standards for new and replacement bridges, and the Minnesota Department of Transportation LRFD Bridge Design Manual.
Nice to have
- 15 or more years of civil engineering experience in structural bridge design or management.
- Experience with RISA, STAAD Pro, Bentley OpenRoads, OpenBridge, AASHTOWare BrR, Mathcad, or Excel.
- Ability to travel for team meetings, client consultations, and on-site observations or visits.
- Ability to walk and climb over rough construction terrain and carry up to 20 pounds.
