Floating Environmental Services Specialist (Maintenance) (Senior Living)

Location: Southern New Jersey, including parts of Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware; travel to various community locations is required.

Salary: $75,000–$80,000 yearly

What you will do

• Provide coverage and operational support for Maintenance and Environmental Services Director and Technician roles across multiple communities.
• Plan, supervise, and evaluate maintenance, environmental services, and housekeeping programs.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, equipment, resident rooms, and life-safety systems; complete corrective maintenance and repairs.
• Operate, maintain, and diagnose HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, generator, and other building systems.
• Coordinate vendors, contracts, inspections, permits, emergency drills, surveys, audits, and capital expenditure projects.
• Respond to emergencies, maintain on-call availability, and perform hands-on work including carpentry, painting, plumbing, light electrical work, and snow removal.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, building systems, maintenance, and housekeeping practices.
• Hands-on experience with general maintenance, carpentry, painting, and repair work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and facility management software; ability to use power tools and maintenance equipment safely.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, perform physical work, lift or carry up to 50 pounds, and respond to emergencies after hours and on weekends.
