Senior Roadway Engineer

Location: Raleigh, Charlotte, or Winston-Salem, North Carolina

Salary: $139,693.44–$159,649.65 per year

What you will do

• Manage transportation improvement projects and provide senior-level roadway and bridge design services.
• Develop and review roadway geometry, drainage, work zone traffic control, pavement markings, and signing.
• Coordinate design development, technical direction, schedules, budgets, staffing, scopes, fees, risk registers, and deliverable submissions.
• Prepare specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, invoices, and quality-control records.
• Lead internal and client project meetings and maintain relationships with client project managers and technical staff.
• Mentor civil design staff and support practice, office, and business development activities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in roadway or bridge design and related technical work.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• NC PE license required, or ability to obtain it within 6 months.
• Experience designing intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, roadway widenings, and bike/pedestrian facilities.
• Experience with NCDOT and other North Carolina municipalities.
• Experience with MicroStation and Geopak, plus strong interpersonal and communication skills.
