Staff Facility Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Secaucus, New Jersey, with support for the Texas facility

Salary: $93,000–$136,400 annually

What you will do

• Monitor and evaluate central chiller plant systems, including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and BAS/BMS.
• Analyze performance data and recommend system adjustments, upgrades, replacements, and efficiency improvements.
• Oversee temperature, humidity, air quality, and water quality monitoring systems.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
• Evaluate mechanical and electrical issues and coordinate resolution with service providers and contractors.
• Support compliance reporting, sustainability initiatives, capital projects, renovations, and equipment upgrades.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in facilities engineering, HVAC systems, or central plant operations.
• Strong knowledge of chiller plants, building automation systems, BAS/BMS, and environmental monitoring technologies.
• Experience with energy efficiency, sustainability practices, performance data analysis, and system optimization.
• Experience managing service providers, contractors, or vendors.
• Knowledge of OSHA, ASHRAE, NFPA, EPA, and other applicable codes and standards.
