Mechanical Engineer III (Pharma)

What you will do

• Own equipment modules and packages throughout the design and procurement phases.
• Develop technical specifications, data sheets, and material requisitions for vendors.
• Design HVAC, plumbing, compressed gas, and plant/process utility distribution systems.
• Create P&IDs, utility consumption summaries, airflow diagrams, and piping plans.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal disciplines to ensure project delivery within budget and schedule.
• Provide construction assistance through submittal reviews, RFI responses, and field visits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of design experience in a design firm setting, preferably within Pharmaceutical or Biotech sectors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Ability to develop Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Pleasanton, California.
• FE registration or PE licensure is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Energy Modeling using HAP software.
• Experience with GMP Manufacturing environments.
