Mechanical Engineer – Facilities (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Design, analyze, and optimize HVAC, DI water, process water, chillers, boilers, pumps, exhaust, heat exchanger, and roofing systems.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting, operations, and maintenance of critical facility infrastructure.
• Design and maintain process gas and liquid distribution systems, including piping, valves, and controls.
• Lead mechanical engineering projects from concept through expansions, upgrades, and new installations.
• Assess system capacity and risk, implement mitigation strategies, and support energy efficiency and waste reduction initiatives.
• Maintain engineering and maintenance documentation and report system performance and improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of facilities engineering experience focused on mechanical systems in a high-tech or manufacturing environment.
• Strong expertise in HVAC, DI water, process water, chillers, boilers, and heat exchangers.
• Experience with process gas and liquid distribution systems.
• Proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD or Revit.
• Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under United States export regulations before beginning work.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Experience in semiconductor or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Knowledge of OSHA, ASHRAE, and related safety and environmental regulations.
