Self-Contained Special Education Teacher (MS) (Immediate) 10K Bonus

Location: Nashville, Tennessee, USA; KIPP Nashville College Prep Middle School

Salary: USD 56,171–USD 100,974 yearly; BA scale: USD 56,171–USD 92,170, MA+ scale: USD 61,909–USD 100,974. The role includes a 10K bonus.

What you will do

• Plan and deliver differentiated instruction for middle-school students in a self-contained special education classroom.
• Use progress-monitoring tools and student data to adjust instruction and individual learning programs.
• Provide daily feedback on academic and character development.
• Build a positive, calm classroom environment and uphold school values and student-management policies.
• Collaborate with school staff and participate in meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.
• Communicate with families about student progress and participate in conferences, open houses, and other family events.

Requirements

• Valid Tennessee teaching license or proof of enrollment in a job-embedded Educator Preparation Program.
• Conferred bachelor's degree.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Strong pedagogy, data-driven instructional skills, and commitment to individualized student support.
• Willingness to collaborate, receive feedback, and pursue ongoing professional development.

Nice to have

• At least two years of teaching experience.
• Experience teaching students from educationally under-resourced communities.
• Commitment to working with students from educationally under-resourced communities.
