Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op (Chemical Engineering)

Location: Billerica, Massachusetts, United States; on-site manufacturing clean room

What you will do

• Support process engineers on the back-end portion of the Billerica filter manufacturing line.
• Collect and summarize data to support or reject proposed process changes.
• Analyze manufacturing data to improve first-pass yield and reduce process variation.
• Review procedures for accuracy and evaluate process safety and efficacy.
• Perform operator tasks to understand process steps and controls.
• Communicate project status, barriers, and updates while gathering input from operators, technicians, and engineers.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a university student and eligible to participate in a co-op program.
• Undergraduate pursuing a BS in Chemical Engineering, with expected graduation in 2028–2029.
• Available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., January through June.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with operators, technicians, and engineers.
• Initiative, critical thinking, and the ability to evaluate information using evidence and objective data.
• Must be able to work in a clean room environment, alternate between sitting and standing, and lift up to 30 pounds.
