Payroll Accountant

Location: London, Montreal, or Warsaw

hirify.global is hiring for a newly created position within its growing management company accounting team.

What you will do

• Review payroll across multiple countries and verify base salary, bonus, and severance payments.
• Reconcile payroll files with journal entries provided by the payroll vendor.
• Reconcile payroll liability accounts with bank records and vendor books.
• Support monthly accounting activities, including month-end close, accounts receivable, accounts payable, account reconciliations, allocation schedules, and intercompany transactions.
• Coordinate with external tax and audit professionals on annual tax returns and audits under US GAAP and local reporting standards.
• Handle ad hoc requests from senior management and other departments.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in payroll accounting, payroll reconciliation, or working for a payroll service provider.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask with excellent attention to detail.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and team-oriented approach.
• Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and SUMIFS for data analysis.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workday Financials.
• Knowledge of ADP as a payroll vendor and UK payroll specifics.
