Senior Accountant (UK)

What you will do

• Manage UK statutory and group reporting under UK GAAP and IFRS across international entities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including intercompany journals and reconciliations.
• Own period-end general ledger close, journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Support invoice reviews, vendor issue resolution, and accurate payment processing.
• Develop accounting policies, internal controls, documentation, and process improvements.
• Support tax filings, external audits, quarterly reviews, and ad hoc accounting analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably across public accounting and UK or European retail or hospitality.
• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification required.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting.
• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP, and Coupa or similar billing and invoicing software.
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables, with the ability to work independently and communicate clearly across functions.
