Controls Project Manager (HVAC/BAS Controls)

Location: Pine Brook, New Jersey, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday, with flexible work location on Fridays

Salary: $98,293.33–$159,200 annual base salary; incentive eligible

What you will do

• Manage project financials, forecasts, cash flow, collections support, expenses, backlog reviews, and cost reconciliation.
• Lead project teams and serve as the primary contact for customers and stakeholders.
• Review contracts, identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and manage project compliance, documentation, safety, scope, cost, and schedules.
• Select and manage qualified subcontractors, including RFQs, awards, execution, and progress coordination.
• Collaborate with technicians and subcontractors on task planning, specifications, control submittals, communications, and project schedules.
• Manage change orders by developing solutions, coordinating quotes, and closing orders with sales and estimating support.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in HVAC, BAS controls, and project management, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
• Experience leading teams with different technical skill levels and planning resources and manpower.
• Experience executing work as a third-tier contractor; experience with building owners is an advantage.
• A valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations or preventable collisions in the previous three years.
• A degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or construction project management is a plus.
