Transition Manager (Construction-to-Operations Handover)

Location: New Freedom, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite facility transition role.

Salary: $112,100–$122,500 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the operational handover of construction deliverables, MEP systems, as-built documentation, warranties, inventories, and maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate general contractors, subcontractors, engineering teams, and facility operations throughout commissioning and transition.
• Organize contractor-led training on newly installed equipment and building automation systems.
• Administer design-build, interface, and operational maintenance contracts while protecting client interests.
• Manage change orders, scope modifications, approvals, cost impacts, schedules, milestones, and project risks.
• Maintain project documentation repositories and deliver weekly and monthly progress reporting to leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in construction management, capital project delivery, or complex facility operations.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, MEP building systems, commissioning, and maintenance requirements.
• Experience with change order management, contract interpretation, budget tracking, technical drawings, specifications, and as-built documentation.
• Proficiency with project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Strong data analytics, data visualization, organization, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience managing transitions in large-scale public assembly, transit, or Class-A commercial environments during active construction.
• Experience developing and administering long-term service contracts and maintenance agreements.
