Project Manager (Energy Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid role based in Chesapeake, Virginia, with work in a corporate office and outdoor plant settings. Occasional travel to field and corporate locations outside the Hampton Roads area may be required.

Salary: USD $103,800–$150,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead capital, sustaining, reliability, regulatory compliance, and business development projects across multiple terminal facilities.
• Manage projects through feasibility, conceptual design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Develop design bases, scopes of work, execution plans, cost estimates, schedules, risk assessments, and funding requests.
• Coordinate Operations, Commercial, Engineering, Maintenance, Inspection, Project Execution, and EHS teams.
• Oversee contractors, vendors, consultants, inspectors, and construction personnel while monitoring costs, schedules, risks, commitments, and forecasts.
• Support terminal infrastructure projects involving tanks, pipelines, pumping systems, marine facilities, material handling, electrical distribution, instrumentation, and SCADA/Automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Mechanical, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 5–7 years of progressively responsible project management experience in industrial, terminal, marine, petrochemical, energy, pipeline, storage, bulk material handling, or related infrastructure facilities.
• Experience with project scoping and estimating, cost and schedule control, design and construction management, procurement, inspection, permitting, and resource planning.
• Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, PHMSA, EPA, and applicable state and local regulations, as well as relevant industry codes and standards.
• Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record and authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to work in office and outdoor plant environments, including proximity to water, working at heights, physical activity, and variable climatic conditions.

Nice to have

• NACE, API 570, API 510, API 653, AWS, or Professional Engineering certification or license.
• Marine, dock, tank repair or construction experience and familiarity with permitting.
• Extensive AutoCAD, MS Visio, MS Project, and other engineering program experience.
